VergeSense (YC S17) is using sensors to power the future of commercial real estate. We've started to ship our product in volume (thousands of units deployed) and we're looking for a technical lead to spearhead development of our embedded sensor platform. This role is for a generalist, so ideally you're equally comfortable writing application code in Python on an embedded linux system as you are digging close to the metal in C on a micro-controller.

We've got a variety of fun & challenging technical problems to solve - including low-power / wireless system design, embedded machine-learning, device management at scale, computer-vision on low-power ICs, and imaging / optical system design.

Experience / background in camera / computer vision systems, autonomous driving, UAV, robotics, IoT / sensor networks are a huge plus.

Things you'll work with everyday:
- Application code development in C++
- Embedded peripherals and drivers (UART/CAN/SPI/I2C)
- Wireless communication systems (Cellular, WiFii, BLE)
- Networking protocols (TCP/UDP)
- Embedded Linux
- Microntroller Programming (ESP32)


- Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or both
- 4+ years experience in real world applications involving embedded systems
- Demonstrated understanding of software design principles

- Masters degree or similar job experience
- Experience with algorithm packages (Tensorflow, OpenCV, etc.)
- Worked with Linux on ARM processors
- Worked with Embedded GCC
- Experience with automotive systems or UAV systems
